ROLE OVERVIEW

Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, the Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Sales team and delivering initiatives to achieve the business’ ambitious student enrolment targets.

ROLE DUTIES

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Work with the Senior Leadership team to establish effective short and long term sales plans and targets for the UK and Europe.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve the sales plans and targets.
  • Introduce and implement strategies with the Sales team to increase and improve sales performance, to ensure targets are met, and achieve business growth.
  • Monitor sales against the Sales Plan and deliver accurate and realistic sales reporting and forecasts to the Board and Leadership Team to facilitate effective planning across the business and ensure overall business targets are achieved.
  • Take timely and effective remedial action where forecasts suggest that sales may fall short of target.

 

Lead Generation – in conjunction with the Sales Team

  • Attend key aviation shows, open days and events with support from the Marketing team to actively promote Leading Edge Aviation as the training provider of choice.
  • Generate, qualify, and convert potential leads to bookings for assessment prior to starting training.
  • Follow-up successful candidates after assessment to enrol them onto a training course, providing all additional information as required.
  • Ensure all information gathered during the sales process is securely managed in compliance with GDPR.

 

Sales Process & Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish effective processes and procedures to manage the entire sales cycle to ensure an exceptional, frictionless, and supportive experience for potential customers.
  • Oversee the CRM system and process – conducting regular follow-ups with leads whilst continuously assessing the effectiveness of strategies and making necessary improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Assessment, Ground School, and Customer Experience teams to ensure smooth transition of customers from Sales to Training.

 

Team Management

  • Be an excellent role model for the Sales Team, personifying the commitment, drive, passion, expertise, and ambition of a high performing sales professional.
  • Inspire, lead, support, challenge, and motivate a Sales team that embodies the Leading Edge Aviation values.
  • Set and monitor realistic sales targets, rewarding positive contributions, and addressing areas for development.
  • Encourage team-working and a collaborative approach to provide CPD and improve individual and team performance.
