Chief Flight Instructor
LocationOxford, UK
Job TypePermanent
Opportunity
Are you an ambitious, experienced Flight Instructor, or current Chief Flight Instructor, looking for a new challenge in an expanding flight training school that can provide you with the opportunity to shape how pilot training is delivered?
We are the fastest growing commercial pilot training organisation in Europe with our expansion fuelled by our innovative approach to delivering training, with the student very much at the heart of all we do, and technology used to enable our training. With a modern fleet of Diamond 40 and 42 aircraft, we deliver all Single-Engine and some Multi-Engine training up to CPL at our Alhama campus followed by the IR phase at our Oxford Campus, requiring this role to have oversight across both sites. This role therefore suits an individual with a dynamic and energetic personality. The role can be based at Oxford or Alhama – this post is all about the right person for the role, not who is available at a particular location.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Working in close cooperation with the Head of Training, Oxford Operations Manager and Alhama Centre Manager you will ensure that our flight training at both our Oxford and Alhama campuses is delivered safely, with the highest levels of training, whilst remaining compliant with all standards and regulations.
You will be expected to look for innovative ways of improving on our already impressive training, as demonstrated by our 100% pass rate at IR, with the drive for continuous improvement very much part of your nature and personality.
ROLE DUTIES
Apart from the minimum flight hours requirement, what do you need to be considered for this opportunity?
As a Pilot you must have a current:
- UK CAA or EASA FI professional pilot licence
- UK CAA or EASA Class 1 medical
It would also be advantageous to have:
- An EASA and UK CAA FI licence
- A UK and EASA Examiner qualification
Our ideal candidate will:
- Be confident in leading teams of Flight Instructors across both 2 campuses
- Looks for opportunities to improve how training is being delivered – challenge the status quo
- Ensure our high levels of standards are maintained across the training function, all involved in training, starting with yourself and driving good behaviours through to FIs and students
- Able to engage enthusiastically and knowledgeably at all levels, from Regulators to Senior Managers and peers.
In return, we can provide an Industry Leading Benefits package and an environment for you to flourish
