Leading Edge Aviation is proud to partner with Jet2.com to support the recruitment and development of future airline pilots. This collaboration provides our students with a clear route into the industry through Jet2.com’s Whitetail Recruitment Campaign, which allows eligible students in the final stages of training to apply directly for the airline’s Future Second Officer Programme.

In addition, Leading Edge is one of the selected training partners for Jet2.com’s fully funded Jet2FlightPath programme, a ground-breaking initiative designed for new applicants beginning their journey to the flight deck.

Jet2flightpath - Fully Funded Pilot Training programme

As part of their pledge to make pilot training more accessible to aspiring pilots, Jet2.com have just relaunched “Jet2FlightPath”, their fully funded pathway to the Jet2.com Flightdeck.

In 2025, 60 exceptional candidates began their pilot training with one of three ATO’s. They will complete training all the way from zero flying hours to fully qualified Jet2.com Second Officer.

Application Prerequisites
  1. Passion for aviation and teamwork
  2. Strong customer service skills
  3. Aged 17+ (18 by 1 August 2026)
  4. A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4+, including Maths & Science (or equivalent)
  5. Full unrestricted rights to work in the UK
  6. Fluent English (native or IELTS 5.5 / Aviation Level 5)
  7. Eligible for CAA Class 1 Medical
  8. Valid passport (12+ months validity remaining, no travel restrictions)
  9. Height between 1.57 m (5’2”) and 1.91 m (6’3”)
  10. Job Preview completion required

Whitetail Recruitment

As one of Jet2.com’s approved training partners, Leading Edge Aviation offers students a direct pathway into the airline.

In the final three months of their training, students can apply directly to Jet2 through the airline’s evergreen recruitment campaign.

If successful, they’ll be enrolled onto the Future Second Officer Programme, a 20-week experience designed to provide deep insight into Jet2’s operations. During this time, trainees will develop key professional skills and build strong cross-team relationships,  all while immersing themselves in the airline’s culture of working as ‘One Team’ and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This opportunity is open to all Leading Edge LEAP integrated and Modular students and graduates.
