Success Story #4

First Officer,
British Airways
Amir Jannaty was introduced to aviation as a young boy by his father, who was serving in the RAF. While at university, and considering his career options, Amir soon realised that all he wanted to do was fly.

He researched pilot training organisations and came to Leading Edge Aviation after delays at another flight school held up his training. He was one of the first students to enrol when Leading Edge Aviation launched.

“Leading Edge fit all my criteria. They were trustworthy and honest, which is important as you are paying a lot of money for the training. Andy, the CEO, actually sat down with my family and me to discuss training options, and what the school could provide. As one of the first cadets, I took a risk joining a brand new school. However, Leading Edge went above and beyond, providing high-quality instructors with a wealth of experience, modern equipment and a clear plan to get myself qualified and ready for an airline role.”

Amir completed his pilot training and graduated 3 weeks early. ‘Becoming qualified as a commercial pilot was one of the best moments of my life! Looking back, it is amazing to see how much I had learned in a short amount of time. I finished training with some amazing memories, and friends from all over the world. Leading Edge put me in contact with many experienced people from whom I was able to learn a lot,” he said.

Shortly after graduating, Amir applied for his first airline role as a First Officer with British Airways and was successful. “I’m very grateful to Leading Edge for the quality training and support they provided, which ultimately helped me gain my first job. I can’t wait to get stuck into a challenging and rewarding career.”

Amir was one of the first Leading Edge graduates, and is now a First Officer for British Airways.
