New AL42 Simulator Approved

New AL42 Simulator Approved

The new Leading Edge AL42 simulator is installed, approved and ready to fly.

Based at our new facility in Glenmore Business Park, this fixed based simulator will give Leading Edge student pilots the most advanced simulator technology as they train for their future career as an airline pilot. It’s an exact replica of the Diamond DA42, the aircraft our students train in, and is built using gen-uine aircraft parts and equipped with the latest real-world Garmin G1000 avionics suite. It also comes with latest generation visual system, GFC 700 autopilot and PBN/LPV capabilities.

Andy McFarlane, Leading Edge CEO, says: “The AL42 from ALSIM offers sophisticated training capabil-ities and replicates the aircraft our students fly, making it the obvious choice for our latest acquisition. We are pleased to be expanding into Glenmore Business Park as the academy grows and it’s an ideal location for our new simulator.”

ALSIM Sales Account Manager, Mrs Anna Lezoray, says: “It was a great pleasure to assist Leading Edge Aviation with their simulator purchase project. We are happy that AL42’s realism and its capability to reproduce different scenarios and flying conditions will enhance the training syllabus at Leading Edge.”
