Current pilots and our industry-experienced staff design and run our Skills Assessments. The aim of the day is to assess the core competencies necessary to be a Commercial Pilot. We run a Skills Assessment to make sure that you meet the industry standards required to pass our integrated LEAP course and to provide you with the confidence that you have the skills required to become a pilot!
Complete Assessment
We cover a range of pilot competencies during the assessment. Such as cognitive ability, technical knowledge, psychomotor skills, decision-making and situational awareness. This complete assessment provides an in-depth analysis of your potential as a Commercial Pilot.
Personalised Feedback
After completing the assessment, you will receive personalised feedback from our experienced assessors. This feedback can help you identify your strengths and areas for development. If you are unsuccessful, we will invite you back to re-take the elements you struggled with at a later date – free of charge.
Training Guarantee
We understand the importance of having confidence and focus during your flight training. Passing our Skills Assessment gives you access to our Training Guarantee. This covers additional training fees if you fail any elements of the course for reasons of aptitude rather than attitude.
Requirements
A Skills Assessments pass is valid for 12 months. You’ll need to be at least 18 on the day you begin your integrated LEAP course. A Class 1 Medical Certificate is also needed before starting training, along with a DBS and the right to live and work in the UK.
