Terms and Conditions
- The prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) is open to people of all ages (entrants under 18 must get consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of entrants under 18 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant.), Entrants are eligible who provide their details to find out more about our Leading Edge Aviation courses. To enter the Prize Draw you must complete the online enquiry form.
- Entrants into the Prize Draw shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
- Only one entry per eligible student is permitted, duplicate entries will be removed. No purchase is necessary. If you have any questions about how to enter or in connection with the Prize Draw, please e-mail competition@leadingedgeaviation.com.
- The opening date for entries is 9am on 26/10/22. The closing date of the prize draw is 5pm on 07/11/22. Entries received after this time will not be considered. Two winners will be chosen from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The draw will be performed at random. The draw will take place on 09/11/22.
- Two individual prize winners will each receive the following prize:
– a 1 hour trial flight with an instructor in a Diamond DA40 (or equivalent single engine aircraft) - A maximum of 1 additional guest will be allowed to accompany the prize winner to the academy however, it will not be possible to accompany on the flight. This is subject to change in line with Covid protocols.
- Leading Edge Aviation accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize. i.e. prize winners will be required to arrange their own transport to and from the Leading Edge Aviation simulator centre. Leading Edge Aviation accepts no liability for costs of travel or additional costs incurred.
- The winners will be notified by email or phone (using the details provided at entry) on or before 16/11/22
- If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Leading Edge Aviation shall be entitled to select another winner.
- Leading Edge Aviation accepts no responsibility for winner’s ability to accept the prize.
- The prize will be subject to Leading Edge Aviation Covid protocols and government restrictions which may affect when the prize can be taken.
- Leading Edge Aviation retains the right to extend the competition end date if required.
- The prize must be redeemed by 31/01/23 and taken by 31/10/23. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
- Leading Edge Aviation retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar experiential value in the event the original prize offered is not available.
- The winner(s) may be required to participate in publicity related to the prize draw which may include the publication of their name and photograph in our social media channels.
- Leading Edge Aviation shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, Covid restrictions, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
- The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Each of our four-seater DA42s is equipped with advanced avionics, two-axis autopilot, G1000 flight instrumentation (EFIS) and Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC). The aircraft’s efficient engines, performance, stability, handling characteristics and ease of operation are second to none, giving trainee pilots the ideal environment for advanced commercial flight training.
Diamond Aircraft DA42
Our newest simulator, which came direct from Diamond Aircraft is located at our dedicated Simulator facility, Hangar 18 – close to the academy.
It’s an exact replica of the Diamond DA42, the twin-engined aircraft you’ll fly in. It’s fixed-base, and Diamond flight simulators are built with authentic aircraft parts, with real avionics, high-end visuals and OEM flight dynamic models for fidelity that is simply unsurpassed. The instrument panel is fitted with the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite and standby instruments, allowing you to train in a completely realistic environment. The simulator is at the cutting edge of the industry, meaning you’ll receive the most sophisticated sim training in preparation for advanced flight training.
ALSIM Diamond DA42
The ALSIM AL42 simulator is located at our Sim Centre at Glenmore Business Park, close to the academy.
It’s fixed-base, built using genuine aircraft parts and is also equipped with the latest Garmin G1000NXi avionics suite. It also comes with the latest generation visual system, GFC 700 autopilot and PBN/LPV capabilities.
Airbus A320
For the final phase of your course, the three week APS MCC (Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation), you will complete your training in our new MPS Airbus A320 FTD-1 simulator. The Airbus simulator is an immersive training experience that will help you prepare for your future career in aviation.
