Welcome to Leading Edge Aviation

We look forward to welcoming you to our academy so you can undertake your Ground School exams. This webpage outlines some key information you will need for your visit. Please take time to read this before you travel.

How to find us

Leading Edge Aviation is located at London Oxford Airport in Kidlington, Oxford.

From the M40

Leave the M40 at junction 9 and follow the A34 for Woodstock Road / A44. Follow signs to London Oxford Airport. Just before you reach Woodstock, you will come across traffic lights. You will need to take the right hand turning into Langford Lane. Follow the road down to the roundabout and turn left into the airport site.

Upon arrival

Guests are asked to park in carpark FP, situated just before the entrance to the airport site.

The carpark is located on the next left turning after you enter Langford Lane. Follow the signs directing you to the FP car park. Once parked, the Academy is just 5 mins walk.

Upon arriving at the academy, please call Reception using the buzzer on the front door. You will be invited through to our reception area where a member of our Customer Experience team will greet you.

 

The Exam Hall

Your exams will take place in our Operations & Exam Centre, located airside. In order to gain access, it is essential that you bring with you some photo ID ( passport / driving licence), and abide by the following:

  • Whilst crossing the airfield, you will be required to wear a hi-viz jacket and stay within line of sight of your host.
  • Upon entry to the building, you may use any of the allocated areas, but you must not leave the building and return to the academy without your host or an authorised member of the Leading Edge team

 

Health & Safety

 

First Aid

In the unlikely event that you have an accident whilst on our premises, please report this immediately to your host, wo will seek support from one of our trained First Aiders, who will be able to offer assistance.

A First Aid box is situated in the Exam Hall.

 

Fire/ Emergency

There are no fire drills planned during your visit. If the fire alarm sounds, this should be treated as a real emergency:
• Your host will ensure that everyone makes their way to the assembly point indicated on the map attached
• Your host will rollcall all those at the assembly point to ensure everyone is accounted for
• It is essential that you stay with this group and do not return alone to the academy or any other area.
• No one should enter the exam building until the emergency services advise it is safe to do so
