Leading Edge Aviation turns three years old

Published on November 16, 2021

Leading Edge Aviation turns three years old and celebrates its expanding fleet & milestone student population.

This month, Leading Edge Aviation turns three years old and what better way to celebrate than with a ‘class of 2021’ photo. In addition to their expanding fleet of aircraft, simulators and facilities, the growing academy is now home to over 200 students. Based at Oxford Airport, the students sit across both Ground School and Flight Training phases of training, supported by over 60 members of staff.

Chief Executive Officer, Andy McFarlane commented “It has been a privilege to see so many students begin their journey to the flight deck with us at Leading Edge Aviation. Whilst the pandemic had brought the industry many challenges, it’s been a real pleasure to see our graduates take airline placements and achieve their dream of flying commercially, and also to see so many new students follow in their footsteps.”

Leading Edge Aviation has seen steady growth in its student numbers recently with 18 joining their September course and a further 22 in October, they’re looking forward to continuing this success in November too. This success follows their many recent announcements including their state-of-the-art accommodation, The Arc, just minutes from the academy in Kidlington and their inhouse engineering capability.
